A Promising Start

In the United States, Jesta Group made its first investments in Houston, Texas in 1980. Jesta Group held real estate investments of several million square feet of commercial and retail space. This success in the North American market served as an underpinning which has propelled the company in its subsequent endeavours.

Over a few short years, Jesta Group acquired several substantial commercial, hotel and residential properties in Houston: the Federal East Plaza, the Gessner, the Baybrook and the Easton Commons Plaza remain as notable examples.

Shortly thereafter, Jesta added the following properties to its North American portfolio: the Cypress Broward Trade Center, the Plantation Meadows Apartments and the Ramada Beach Resort Hotel, all of which are located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and which gave Jesta its first opportunities to learn the art of residential and hotel administration, a tool of utmost importance to Jesta as its portfolio would continue to expand greatly in those sectors.
